If I could give this film zero stars I would because 1/2 seems way too generous. Had I known this was a 'documentary-style' film I probably would have turned it off a lot sooner than I did but I'd been curious about it since its release. The swearing (and OMG, it was like every other word) was a huge turn off and it wasn't hard to see why this is Rated R, but the acting (or lack of it) was atrocious... all of it. I was reminded yet again why I cannot stand Allison Janney and although if her role was true to the real life person, she did an excellent job because I wanted to smack her so hard. The woman who portrayed Tonya Harding looked WAY too old for the role and didn't look at ALL like Tonya. In fact she made Tonya look like a beauty queen. She couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, either. I ended up fast-forwarding through most of it but I was curious to see how they would handle the Nancy Kerrigan scandal. I shouldn't have been surprised that it too was glossed over. Ugh, I wish I could get back the hour or so that I spent watching this movie and I hate that I wasted a rental on it. How this film is praised so much and received so many awards and recognition is way beyond me. Horrible, horrible movie. Enough said?
