Must See !

Nov 25, 2019

This is a movie that attempts to romanticize the life of a woman with a lofty ambition and two young children, who is not very intelligent and lacks any sense of responsibility. Jessie Buckley does have a great singing voice though, that is perfect for the pathos of country music. Meh.

Very pleasant surprise! Good story, acting and beautiful original country music performed by main actress as well. Feel good movie, time well spent!

Rose-Lynn is wild - with lessons to learn and dreams to pursue
feisty but irresponsible she sings her way back to home
3 great female leads, mothers all and varied
I got caught by the energy if not by the country music

The best movie I've seen this year. If you want a feel good/comfort movie for a cold, rainy night then this is for you.

Enjoyable movie. Had many ah and sad moments. Once a mother, always a mother. Good music too.

It was described as funny, but it is rather sad for most of the story. A totally irresponsible mother of two children who prefers drink and her pursuits than being With her children. Well acted, some good moments, and a happy ending.

A bonafide Irish singer and actress Jessie Buckley stars in a Scottish (Glasgow) musical drama with Country Nashville scores. Excellent sound track that helps to tell an unusual coming of age story that a young single mom comes to terms with her past mistakes and find hope for a better future. Have doubt if the songs are any good, suggest to listen to the soundtrack with original and covered songs performed by Buckley, example "Country Girl" in "Videos."

Rose-Lynn is a young woman from Glasgow who's just been released from a 12 month stint in prison. Now she turns to her one and only goal, her purpose, her destiny, getting to Nashville and becoming a country music star. The problem facing the pull of Nashville is the push back from Rose's two young children, who her mother has been taking care of while she was in prison. Exhilarating, devastating, surprising...awesome soundtrack. Loved it.

Learn a trade. Go to college. You're not listening. I don't care what you do, but do something.
-I've got my talent and I'm gonna use that.
Have you not been watching telly? There's no shortage of folk who can sing.
If you're no' even prepared to acknowledge their existence, there's no hope for you. And there's sure as hell none for them.
I wanted you to take responsibility, but I never meant to take away your hope.
-I don't know what you're talking about.
Maybe there is more to life or maybe there isnae. I don't know. I've never been further than Dunoon. But you need to away and see.
