Written and directed by Angela Robinson in 2017, this American docudrama delves into a threesome relationship.
Superb are the performances of Luke Evans as William Moulton Marston, Rebecca Hall as Elizabeth Holloway Marston, and Bella Heathcote as Olive Byrne.
Although unconventional, the film appears fascinating, interesting and funny.

WW's creators are as great as she is.

Somewhat interesting, low energy, very slow moving biographical movie with scenes of erotic kink/very soft porn.

I have to admit I didn't find the story, which is based on facts, to be very engaging. Overall it is a decent drama and you will need an open mind to digest it. Worth a watch, but not a great film for me.

Very enjoyable film. Interesting story. For me, Rebecca Hall, as Elizabeth Marston, was fabulous.

Not at all what we thought it would be. Still, it was thought-provoking...

Mildly interesting true story of college Professor Marston who is married to a "modern" woman and they add a young college woman to their home as they realize they are both in love with her. These new ideas, mid-20th century, induce the professor to come up with the idea of publishing a new Wonder Woman comic book telling the tale of a strong woman with powers and ability to tackle the evils of the world. Possibly includes justice Kavanaugh's devil's triangle.

I gave this 4 stars (vs more) only because it resonated with a theory (DISC) that I wish had been comparitively discussed in the special features WITH a few OTHER theories about giving and recieving in relationships, as well as in social evolution. had that been brought out (somehow), a wider audience would have a much deeper understanding vs being turned off by certain elements, even though they engaged critical factors in/as parts of the story. Let me see if can make that more clear.
Marston was a pioneer in the scope of the later, and "DISC theory," as Angela Robinson (in the Special Features). noted, had it's weakpoints or holes (in the broader picture of giving and recieving) when applied to personal relationships. But where those holes exist, my question is: were they, or were they not brought out in the movie through the Marston family's interractions, while NOT in Marston's theory? Could they have been, short of a followup movie, or only through a lecture? Note that there were so many other competing elements in the given socio-emotional-easily-political complexity of a setting, that perhaps, one movie could only lightly touch upon these things, let alone give a fair-weighted management to them in the first place. I'd be tempted to want 5 more minutes to lay those comparitives out more clearly in some fashion - through context of story telling, even if those principles were not fully laid out in the psychology lectures of those times. Or in the special features.
Granted, Robinson is brilliant in rendering the story while more than subtley hinting -therein- of the previous noted key elements, while she seems quite at home in discussing the depth and breadth of both psychology and development of the movie production. And as for my asking for more, I admit that rarely does one lecture in psychology give equal weight to the different psychological perspectives. But why not three in the next dvd design? :-)

I found this to be a very touching film, looking at three people that loved each other, and raised a family facing the backlash of societies rules and normalization of their times. The film is well directed, displaying empathy for this uncharacteristic love match and uncommon partnership that provides the viewer with a touching insight into their hardship and the birth of the comic book character, Wonder Women.
The film does end with some real pictures and text to include biographical updates to these three people that found love.

Interesting story which resides near the bizarre end of the spectrum of human activity. It worth a watch.

IMDb has some quotes including a couple of them herein:

What would I want with a penis?
- Heh.
Seriously, it would be exhausting to have one organ... constantly directing the course of your life.
Elizabeth, peach, penis envy is figurative. It means a woman experiences an envy of the male position in the world. His dominance. His ability to penetrate not just the woman, but... life.
Can't solve war by simply studying men's feelings.
-Of course, you're right. Men's minds are far too limited. That's why we need women.

My aunt said, "A woman must not be told how to use her freedom... she must find out for herself."
-Your aunt, my dear, is quoting Margaret Sanger.
My aunt is Margaret Sanger.
- The Margaret Sanger?
Dominance, inducement, submission... and compliance. All human relationships break down into the interplay... between these categories of emotion. A person is most happy when they are submissive to a loving authority. It is essential that a person submits to an authority willingly... that it is their idea. We get into trouble when people feel forced to do something... they don't want to do, and that is merely compliance.
If the nature of men is inherently violent and anarchistic... and the nature of women is inherently loving and nurturing... then shouldn't women be the ones to rule the world?

People who comply instead of submit... are unhappy and repressed... and this can lead to resentment. Taken to its extremes... it can lead to crime, war, fascism.
How do you avoid compliance? It seems like... that is built into most situations.
- Inducement. Inducement is the act of seducing somebody to your way of thinking... dominating them so completely... that what you want is what they want... and they love giving it to you... and that, ladies, is the key to life, to love, to happiness... to peace. Women are better at inducement than men.
Why is Wonder Woman an Amazon?
-In Greek mythology, Amazons were a powerful tribe of women... who lived without men.
- Without men?
It is important to me that young girls... realize they have the power within themselves to create their own destiny. To be president of the United States if they want.

Wonder Woman has a secret identity. Yes, she does.
- Why is that?
She has to hide her true self from man's world.
Who says there's no pain in love? Love is painful. We hurt the ones we love all the time with our words, our deeds. The nature of love is pain.
Wonder Woman will not be an ordinary comic book. But instead, the start of a powerful feminist movement. She will be carefully crafted, psychological propaganda... based on a lifetime of research into the human mind... inserted into a populist medium to further equal rights for women.
You don't even deny that these images are overtly sexual.
-An erotic component is necessary. How else is submission supposed to be pleasurable? I am teaching readers to submit to a loving authority. And that submission is pleasurable. Young boys must learn this... if they are to grow up respecting powerful women.
What is powerful about a woman running around in a bathing suit?

What troubles me is that you're trying out... your so-called psychological experiment on children.
-Children are our great hope.
Do you let your children read it'? Your little girl? I don't know why your wife puts up with it.
I thought I knew everything. I thought love wasn't enough. But it... It has to. It has to be enough…
Wonder Woman is a love letter. She is a fantasy. She comes from a distant place where there is beauty... and justice, and respect. I write what I see about women I know... women who are every bit as just... and strong, and capable as Wonder Woman. Now, we can debate the length of her hemline. But what is important... is the way Wonder Woman reforms criminals. She makes them tell the truth. That is what she stands for... the truth.

"She's guileless and you are a grade-A bitch, together you'll make a perfect woman"
(Marston to wife & mistress)

"Olive, do you want a penis?" (Wife to mistress).
