Unsympathetic characters, foolish storyline and extreme overuse of "whilst" (as another reader suggested) made reading this book a waste of my time.

BOTTOM-LINE:
Revenge fantasy disguised as light romance
.
PLOT OR PREMISE:
A woman dumped by a guy tries to create the perfect life that will bring them back together, whether he wants it or not.
.
WHAT I LIKED:
There is a revelation about 60% of the way through that explains some of her behaviour, a pseudo-rationale to her logic, but even it is really far-fetched. The initial incidents are just plausible enough to be believable, and the light touch that makes it feel almost like a Bridget Jones' Diary type storyline makes the story seem all the more creepy.
.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
She got dumped, and she creates these elaborate plans that all seem to go off without a "WTF?" moment, as they take place entirely from her perspective. But the light touch the author uses to make it seem like a chic-lit romance is so inappropriate. If the protagonist was a man, everyone would see this book for what it is -- some sort of stalker / revenge porn hybrid. But even within the storyline, there are two violent episodes (one with him in a bathroom, one with his new gf) that are completely ridiculous.
.
DISCLOSURE:
I received no compensation, not even a free copy, in exchange for this review. I am not personal friends with the author, nor do I follow her on social media.

Monotonous commentary and too descriptive. Vocabulary for youth level or English as a second language.

The thought kept running through my head "What next?" Not a book I would recommend.

Wow. The ending! And I dont mean that in a good way. A repetitive story, one that goes around in circles finally ends in the most inconclusive, unsatisfying way.

I think this might make a good movie. I listened to the audiobook of this. It seemed way too long. It had very little substance. Once every five hours you would get some interesting information.

What a very misguided book...it was dumb and the characters were shallow...especially the boyfriend...I will definitely not recommend this book to anyone ...

I didn't enjoy this book very much. I didn't particularly like any of the characters, and I thought the story could do with a kick in the butt to get it moving in many places. Some incidents were far-fetched. The boyfriend came across as stupid and spineless. I skipped a lot, caught the essentials enough to discover the tricky semi-ending (which was the one interesting part), but the final ending was not satisfying. A first novel, there is talent there, but it needs to be honed.

This was so good that I plan on reading it again. I liked the main character -she's interesting and has alot of spunk.

Was really enjoying this book but eventually found things a little too far fetched and didn't care fur the ending at all.
