Searching is an excellent movie about a father who begins a search for his missing daughter. The way that this film is filmed is incredible because it’s all shown on technology, mostly on the father's laptop. There are so many plot twists in this movie, and it keeps you wondering what happened to the daughter, and what’s going to happen next in the movie. This is a great movie to watch with your family, and it also teaches an important lesson about technology, and family. This movie was not boring at all, and it was time well spent. I really enjoyed watching this movie. I rate this movie a 5/5.

A gripping movie with a completely unexpected twist. Searching is a documentary about a father who is hunting to find his missing daughter Margot. The aspect that I love about this movie is that it is entirely on the fathers computer! As I speak about it, it does sound quite boring that the movie is a computer screen but it is something you have never seen before. This movie still managed to keep me entertained and always wondering who the true suspect was. The investigation left many clues which you only understand as the movie wraps up. I would totally recommend watching this movie if you enjoy mystery. I rate searching a 4.5/5.

This one took me by surprise. It utilizes the found footage genre in an innovative way that makes it feel fresh and builds up genuine suspense without any cliches. John Cho is masterful too, it's a shame his performance isn't talked about enough here.

How anyone could find this movie boring is beyond me! Lots of twists and turns, and good acting. The backstory of how the movie was made only adds to the viewer's enjoyment. If you are a computer geek, you might even get more out of it! It is so unlike anything I have ever seen and I applaud the creative team that took a big risk that really worked.

So what there wasn't any car chases, explosions, or gruesome scenes? Cost effective film doesn't felt cheesy cheap B-movie and felt so in there. Pace was just right with a somewhat over his head dad going into rabbit hole of social media.
So it wasn't Oscar material. However, it wasn't Razzie material.

A good movie and interesting. Plus it makes you wonder how much do you know about your kids.

A very tense, creepy, claustrophobic thriller.

I like John Cho, but this was movie was pretty boring, esp. considering that it was billed as a thriller. A man's teenage daughter goes missing and he scrambles to figure out whether she ran away or was abducted. The gimmick? All of the film takes place on screens-computer, phone, television. It's probably meant to be, like, of the moment, but it ended up quickly becoming annoying and tedious.

COMPLETELY BORING. Done all on a computer showing computer pics of mostly the father, him talking on the computer or on the phone.. Have to read what is typed all through the whole movie. WTH.

Masterful. Edge of your seat, and just when you think you have a handle on it, BAM, no you don’t!! Excellent performances from John Cho and Michelle La.
A definite Must Watch if you love mysteries!!
