While less in depth than the far more detailed Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, I found this book to be the perfect introduction to the principles of Nonviolent Communication. Whereas A Language of life offered a thorough understanding with more academic and linguistic tones, Speak Peace's focus was on offering powerful stories from Marshall Rosenberg's life which were inspiring as well as insightful. While I know many jump right into the full practicum on NVC, Language of Life, I personally far preferred Speak Peace and would encourage anyone to read it, especially those new to Nonviolent Communication.
