While this book provides some valuable insights into paleontology in the Middle East through some wonderful photography of the terrain where the fossils are found, it is lacking good quality photos of actual fossils. The text is in both English and Arabic but neither are there in great volume which is unfortunate because I did want to read much more. It's worth a look for something different in the hunt for ancient mammals and reptiles. We're not talking dinosaurs here, but more recent creatures such as prehistoric crocodiles, elephants, horses, and rodents; as well as plants and trees.
