Until now, there has been little research into the use of online dictionaries despite expanding markets: both academic and commercial lexicography increasingly focus on online products while sales figures for printed dictionaries decline. This created a demand for reliable empirical information on how online dictionaries are actually used and how they could be optimized. This volume makes a substantial contribution to closing this research gap.
