An excellent book that demonstrates how globalization has helped many of the world's poor increase their standard of living. Bhagwati also explains the need for governments to play a role in managing a global economy. He speaks too of the need for free trade in making a more equal world.

Not mentioned in the author notes is that Bhagwati receives handsome talking fees and consulting fees from the Indian offshoring company, the Tata Corporation.
