Plot was way over my head - but there were some spot on spiritual truths to enjoy - and all kinds of fabulous action and dialogue! Fun for the whole family...

I found it to be an OKAY movie. I enjoyed the actors’ performances. However, Tilda Swinton did not seem to be the best choice. I have no problem with the Ancient One being a woman. Since the Ancient One was originally a Tibetan, I believe it would have made more sense for the actress to be Asian.

I disliked the special effects. They did not relate to any magical effects done in the Doctor Strange comics. Obviously, someone was in love with the CGI that was used in “Inception” movie. They seemed out of place and extremely excessive.

The writing made a lot of shortcuts to move the story along. In the comics, it took Doctor Strange years of studying and learning. The movie completely minimized this to the point that all power and skills just came easy to him.

Get ready for the metaphysical side of Marvel superheroes in this story about a brain-surgeon-turned-mystical-warrior. For me, this was in my top three favorites of the Marvel movies, right behind the original Avengers movie, and Antman. I loved the humor, the heart, and the Inception-esque scenes, and the fact that it could be exciting and action-packed without being overly violent.

It was trippy but well made. The scenery was beautiful and the plot was brilliant. I was initially not keen to watch this but everyone played their roles well and it was a fantastic movie.

Spot on casting and a good take on magic in the modern world. It's basically Harry Potter for Ultra-Cynical Adults.

Great visual movie which made it enjoyable in theatres as well as at home. Characters are pretty good though the antagonists aren't which is generally typical it seems for super hero movies. The story for Dr. Strange's character is interesting but the overall plot feels a bit rushed or disjointed at times.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor were probably the more interesting actors in my opinion and I felt a little off put in having Tilda Swinton as "The Ancient One" - more so when the movie tries to make a joke of her role as well when she is first introduced to Dr. Strange.

Overall it's a good movie but not perfect by any means.

I don't know what everyone elese is saying. It was an aswome movie. Great visual fx. Funny the way Dr. Strange looped the time at the end. I Say this movie was very good. I guess not everyone like magic besides Harry Potter. I think it's a wonderful movie. Dr. Strange is different than most marvel heroes.

Never got the hook for this one. I enjoy most superhero movies, but could not get into this one for whatever reason.

This movie received so many positive reviews I was expecting more. Instead what I saw was more of the same from Marvel Studios: A-list Hollywood talent -- Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Cumberbatch -- toiling in service of a mediocre script (that reworks the original Marvel material) until the CGI "money shot(s)" arrive. Toss in a few gags, and you have what is now the industry standard. It's a money machine, but hardly anything else. (The box office for DOCTOR STRANGE was over $675 million.)

Tons of quotes already populated in IMDb as this one:

The Ancient One: You think you know how the world works? You think that this material universe is all there is? What is real? What mysteries lie beyond the reach of your senses? At the root of existence, mind and matter meet. Thoughts form reality. This universe is only one of an infinite number. Worlds without end; some benevolent and life-giving, others filled with malice and hunger. Dark places where powers older than time lie, ravenous and waiting. Who are you in this vast multiverse, Mr. Strange?
