From the author who brought you Gossip Girls, Cecily writes another book; Dark Horses. This book is very interesting, and it was a little confusing at first. This story is told from two perspectives. From Marret and Red, and I didn't know that Red was actually a horse, not a human. It was funny at times to read from Red's perspective because he has a mind of a teenage boy, even though he's a horse. Red and Marret's relationship grows throughout the story. Dark Horses is an OK book, some parts were a bit boring. I picked up this book because it had a horse on it, and I thought the cover was pretty cool. I didn't expect to read chapters from a horse's perspective. Very interesting. 3/5 stars.

There is zero arch of them learning to trust each other. The horse just instantly accepted her and the story moved on. The horse is written like a stalker ex boyfriend. The girl is torn dramatically between which guy she should like. If you like Lifetime movies, you will love this story. And you can feel the ending coming and yes its poorly done. It probably is the dead center truth to what happens to alot of horses in dressage and jumping though.

This book is told from the point of view of the horse, Big Red and of his rider, Merrit. It alternates between the two. I found it to be interesting. The interaction of the horse and girl. How they came to trust and love each other. Then it takes a dark turn. Did not like the ending at all. 2.5 stars out of 5
