Dominique Swain gives probably the best performance by an actress in the 1990s...particularly the first 1/2 hour of the movie. Frank Langella is also wonderful as well.

The 1997 cinema version of Lolita. A lot more true to the book than the 60's Kubrick film (but that was because of censors). Dominique Swain stands out particularly, but she looks more like a teenager than a 12 year old nymphet. Apparently Katy Perry got most of her inspiration from Swain's portrayal of Lolita. I can see why.
