I would rate this book 5 stars. Wonder is a really heart-warming book about a kid named August. Since he was born, he had this medical issue that made him different from the rest. He has been homeschooled his whole life until the fifth grade, where his mom puts him in middle school. He had to go through tough times, with people getting forced to be his friend, people playing cruel games behind his back and just plain rude bullying! I like how this book shows the perspectives of different characters. This is a really cool thing for an author to do because you get their story and you understand why someone cried or got mad. This proves that there are always two sides to the story. The person getting bullied isn't always the one that's the victim and deserves all the sympathy, but the bully might have a reason to be mean. You have to know their perspective before you take aside. I would recommend this book to all my friends.

If you have the choice to be right or kind choose kind.

Wonderfully written. The author uses alternate points of view so well that you understand all of the characters. This was a read aloud for us, along with my 8 and 10 year old. I started to cry on many parts. There were also alot of parts that made you laugh out loud. Amazing book!

And still Auggie was able to face the world -- not always an easy thing for him, but he carries it out with intelligence and humor.

The movie is due out in November.

I would rate this book a 100/100 this book is really and sad at the same time. If you pay attention to the book then this book will make you cry. The author makes you reflect on how you treat other people. What i liked about this book is that you can reflect on how you treat other people and act with people just like you and different then you. That you should be careful on what you say and act because words/actions hurt you know especially if you are different. I didn’t dislike anything of this book i loved reading these types of books sad and emotional. I would recommend this book to my godsister she is like me we enjoy these types of books that make you reflect and make you a better person. It is about a 5th grader named August "Auggie" who has a facial difference and has been home-schooled for most of his young life. He gets enrolled at a middle school for 5th grade and wants nothing more than to feel normal. Instead Auggie gets bullied for his appearance from his peers and along the way you hear from not only Auggie, but from others who are around him begin to wonder what it means to have empathy and compassion. What it means to be a friend, how to accept your friend, but mostly how to be just "act a little kinder than necessary - the world would be a better place".
