The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors

This is a great book. My boys loved it. Prior to reading the book; rock, paper, scissors is how we have come to settle many of "I'm first" "No I'm first" disputes. So they were excited to read it.

This is a great laugh out loud read for anyone!

A silly book on how we have come to play Rock, Paper, Scissors. The illustrations are a great addition to this story. This book is definitely a fun read-a-loud for the whole family.

This book is hilarious. I'm an adult, and I still loved it. The language might be a little lofty at times, and the full scope of the humor might be lost on really young readers ("Bow before our child-pleasing shapes and flavors, sword master!" the dinosaur chicken nuggets say to Scissors at one point), but slightly older children should get plenty of chuckles out of this "legendary" origin story.

This story begs to be read aloud complete with sports announcer style voicework. Kids will love the epic battle sequences leading up to the ultimate showdown.

Clever illustrations, adult jokes and references and epic storytelling made me laugh out loud! Definitely recommend.

Super awesome story time in the car with my older sister and this gem of a book.

This is book will actually have you reading with such enthusiasm. My nephew loved it so, that I actually had to go and buy the book for him. You will be "victorious" just like rock, paper and scissors.

The story opens in “The Kingdom of Backyard,” where the great warrior Rock is unsatisfied with his conquests; there are no opponents who present enough of a challenge for him. All three venture to “The Great Cavern of Two-Car Garage” in search of worthy challengers. When they meet, an epic three-way battle begins, one that is still going on today. (Don’t worry, no one gets hurt.) The text is laugh-out-loud funny, and the illustrations are mesmerizing.

Finally! The backstory of Rock, Paper, and Scissors - what were they up to before they found each other? Funny, great illustrations - perfect for kids that are a bit older or to ensure that the adults reading have a good laugh.

This book is fantastic. I couldn't love it more. Both my kiddos, age 4 & 7 requested it multiple times - so many we purchased a copy of our own. But, just a warning, it really only works if you read it in multiple voices - including Vince McMahon's from WWF...enjoy!

Beautifully illustrated, extremely clear concept but maybe limited audience. I think my 8 year old grandson would enjoy but my 4 year old granddaughter might not really "get it".
